Pre Production Paperwork

Pre-Production

This is my planned idea for my introduction. I have created this storyboard using Adobe Illustrator because photoshop 2021 is currently not optimised and has bugs that make it very difficult to use, mainly the huge temp files it creates make it impossible to use.

I have planned my idea this way as it will capture the attention of the audience if done correctly with the use of sounds and editing techniques.

Risk Assessments - Filming Locations

This risk assessment helps to highlight possible risks that I will be exposed to when gathering footage for my documentary. This will help me to keep safe and also to avoid any health risks so I can be safe when gathering footage.

Filming Locations

I have decided to record at a few locations in order to make my documentary varied. Changing the location to different places in the region will help maintain the theme of regional identity.

locations include

- Stadium of Light
- Roker Beach
- Sunderland College, Bede Campus

This is my equipment list that shows all the equipment that will be used to create my documentary, this is so I can produce my documentary to a high standard.

Script

This script will help me easily speak about certain things in my documentary and help stay on topic. This will help with any voice over work I do and also any talking to the camera to help present my documentary.

I have since evaluated my script and refined the script to make it flow a lot easier and get to the point easier.

This is a my refined script placed into note form so it is easier to read whilst out recording, This is much easier and looks a lot more realistic when speaking to the camera. As it is just short notes it allows me to use my own words so it helps me to make the shots look a lot more real by not just reading off a script for a full clip.

Shot lists

This is the most common interview shot using the rule of thirds technique. This is used in many documentaries and tv shows such as The Office as can be seen above. This shot type helps to eliminate the dead space in the frame and help the viewer to connect and engage with the person in frame. This will be the shot type I will use when I set up and record my interviews.

Location Scouting

This is a location scout conducted for the Stadium Of Light on a matchday. It has been conducted so I know about the location that I intend to record at.
